CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens (N.C.) finished with a 34-19 advantage in kills and tallied nine service aces en route to claiming a straight-set victory over the visiting Bobcats in the non-conference match this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Michael Marsans finished with a team-high six kills and three blocks, while Ethan Gardner chipped in five kills and three blocks.
- Riley Chapman and Steven Nalls posted 11 set assists and 10 digs respectively.
- Queens jumped out to an early lead in the first set by winning 12 of the first 19 points and used a late service ace to claim a 25-13 win in set one.
- The Royals controlled momentum in the second set by using a 13-1 run and survived a late rally by the Bobcats to win set two, 25-14.
- Lees-McRae had multiple chances in the final set to put a run together, but Queens posted 13 kills in the third frame to clinch the non-conference victory.
- The Royals held a 34-26 advantage in digs and a 32-19 edge in set assists.
FOR THE FOES:
- Josh Bragg posted a game-high 10 kills to pace the Royals.
- Jack Brinkman finished with nine kills, while Daniel Leitao chipped in 28 set assists.
