Zeynep Cakirer,
Mei Hiramatsu and
Laura Ocampo all won their respective singles matches to lead the Lees-McRae women's tennis team to a 4-2 win over Southern Wesleyan to clinch their first postseason victory since the 2009-10 season, before stumbling against Emmanuel, 4-1, in the quarterfinal round of the Conference Carolinas Championships.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The doubles team of Cakirer and Hiramatsu won the #2 doubles match with a 6-0 victory, while the duo of Ocampo and Wells clinched a 6-2 win in the #3 doubles match.
- Cakirer also won the #2 singles competition with a 6-3, 6-2 win.
- Hiramatsu posted a 6-3, 6-4 win in the #4 singles match, while Ocampo clinched a 7-5, 5-2 victory in the #5 singles match.

- Emmanuel claimed the doubles point by winning two of the three matches, with the final #3 doubles match being unfinished.
- Ocampo posted a 6-0, 6-2 win in the #5 singles match to earn the Bobcats a point, while the Lions won the other three singles matches that finished.
