BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Lees-McRae women's soccer hosted Belmont Abbey in the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Championship Quarterfinal this afternoon as the Crusaders advanced to the semifinals with the 4-2 victory on Saturday afternoon.
Taylor Barrineau and
Priscilla Mawi recorded goals on the day for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barrineau had the first quality chance for the Bobcats in the 25th minute, but Belmont Abbey's defense made a team save to keep the match scoreless.
- Barrineau found the back of the net off a cross via Kat Stiles in the 34th minute of action as the Bobcats held the one-goal advantage.
- Goose Andrews of Belmont Abbey tied the match at one goal after finding the goal on a free kick from the Crusaders. The two squads headed into halftime deadlocked at one.
- Mia Muckenthaler recorded the second goal of the day for the Crusaders in the 62nd minute, but the Bobcats brought the match even at two goals after a goal by Mawi two minutes later.
- The Crusaders scored the go-ahead goal in the 65th minute as Gabriela Enciso scored and the Crusaders added another goal in the 68th minute after a strike by Sabrina Cunha.
- Alexa Todd registered an assist on the goal by Mawi in the 64th minute of play for the Bobcats.
FOR THE CRUSADERS:
- Brianna Sroka made the start in goal for Belmont Abbey and allowed two goals on the day with her defense collecting the lone save in the game.
- Andrews scored her eighth goal of the season for the Crusaders and Cunha tallied her third goal of the year.
