GREENEVILLE, TENN. -- Lees-McRae men's basketball returned from Thanksgiving break when the Bobcats fell to non-conference opponent Tusculum, 106-83, on Saturday.
Nico Ashley and
Jaylin Stewart each recorded 17 points in the contest for Lees-McRae.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tusculum went on a 7-0 run to take the 18-11 with 12:47 remaining in the first half, but LJ Rogers answered with a three-pointer of his own on the ensuing possession. The Pioneers grew their lead to double digits and held the 47-31 lead after the first 20 minutes of action.
- The Bobcats cut the deficit to 10 points with 8:23 remaining in the second half after a free throw via Stewart, but Tusculum used a solid second half to take the 106-83 victory on Saturday.
- Lees-McRae shot 47.5% (29-61) from the field on the day with Ashley tallying six made field goals. The Bobcats had nine three-pointers on the contest and went 16-22 from the free-throw line.
- Stewart added four assists and four steals to his season totals in the contest to go along with 17 points and Timon Jones joined Ashley and Stewart in double-figures with 14 points on 5-11 shooting.
FOR THE PIONEERS:
- Inady Legiste led Tusculum in the scoring column with 20 points as three other Pioneers recorded double-digits in points. Justin Mitchell (18 points), Jalen Crowder (17 points), and Connor Jordan (16 points) followed after shooting 52.9% (37-70) from the floor. The Pioneers outrebounded the Bobcats 42-27 while pulling down 15 offensive boards.
