CENTRAL, S.C. – Four Bobcats scored in double figures, led by
Timon Jones and
Malik McConnell with 16 and 15 points respectively, but it was not enough as Southern Wesleyan held the visiting Bobcats to 36 percent shooting in the second half en route to an 88-66 win in the Conference Carolinas action this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Jones shot 7 of 13 from the field for a team-high 16 points to go along with four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
- McConnell chipped in 15 points on 4 of 7 shooting from the charity stripe, while Sidney Dollar and Drew Gardner combined for 20 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals.
- Lees-McRae and Southern Wesleyan traded points for much of the first half until the Bobcats used a 9-0 run to take a 31-22 lead with seven minutes left to play in the first stanze.
- The Warriors responded by going on a 17-7 run to claim a 39-38 halftime edge.
- Lees-McRae opened the second half on an 8-3 run to reclaim a 46-42 lead just over two minutes in the second half.
- Southern Wesleyan outscored the Bobcats 46-20 in the final 17 minutes of the second half to clinch the conference win.
- Lees-McRae held a slim 11-8 edge in second-chance points and a 32-31 advantage in rebounding.
FOR THE FOES:
- Demarcus Addie and Ta'Jay Dunlap scored 29 and 20 points respectively to pace the Warriors.
