DUE WEST, S.C. –
MaKayla Smith led the scoring for the Bobcats with 13 points, scoring 2 of 4 from beyond the arc.
Malikah Meyers and
McKenna Kersat contributed seven and five rebounds respectively, but it was not enough as the Erskine opened the game by scoring 22 of the first 29 point en route to a 71-46 win against Lees-McRae in the Conference Carolinas action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Smith shot 2 of 4 behind the three-point line adding to her 13-point performance.
- Meyers added eight points and seven rebounds, while Kersat added six points and five rebounds.
- Jala Holloman also chipped in eight points and four steals.
- Erskine held the Bobcats scoreless in the first four and a half minutes of play with the score at the end of the first 22-7 in favor of the Flying Fleet.
- Lees-McRae outscored Erskine 18-10 in the paint, but the Flying Fleet's 22-11 points off turnovers helped them maintain a consistent lead over the Bobcats.
- Erskine scored over 18 points in three quarters while the Bobcats only managed to score 15 points in the fourth quarter.
- The Flying Fleet held at least a 22 point lead over Lees-McRae in the entirety of the fourth quarter.
- The Bobcats led 4-0 in fast break points while Erskine had the edge in bench points 19-9.
FOR THE FOES:
- The Flying Fleet had three players with double figures, led by Anzya Cook's game high of 17 points.
- Erskine also had three players to score over four 3-pointers.
