Drew Gardner,
Sidney Dollar, and
Malik McConnell all scored in double figures, but it was not enough as No. 6 Barton shot nearly 80 percent from the field in the second half en route to clinching a 94-75 win over the No. 7 Lees-McRae men's basketball team in the second round of the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gardner finished with a team-high 19 points to go along with eight rebounds and a steal, while Dollar chipped in 17 points, five rebounds, and two steals.
- McConnell tallied 10 points and a team-high seven assists, with Timon Jones and Jaylin Stewart each adding eight points.
- Cale Harris also finished with six points and seven rebounds.
- Both teams traded runs early in the first half with a three-point field goal by Jones giving the Bobcats a 22-21 lead with just over four minutes left in the first half.
- Barton closed the half on a 12-6 run to claim a 33-28 halftime lead.
- The Bulldogs continued their run in the opening minutes of the second half and extended the lead to 64-42 at the midway point of the second frame.
- Lees-McRae used a late rally to cut the lead back to 86-10 with just over two minutes remaining in the contest, but a pair of late dunks by Barton clinched the second round victory.
- The Bobcats held a 18-11 advantage in second-chance points and outscored the Bulldogs 18-12 in bench production.
- Barton maintained a 44-32 edge in points in the painted area.
FOR THE FOES:
- Trevon Spencer and Marcus Boykin scored 25 and 20 points respectively to pace the Bulldogs.
