RESULTS
RALEIGH, N.C. –
Liam Flanagan posted a top-five finish in the Collegiate Men's A Criterium, while
Josh Foley and
Ian McDonald won the Men's B and Men's C events respectively and
Mariana Rinaldo finished third in the Women's B competition, as Lees-McRae men's and women's cycling teams opened the SECCC/ACCC dual conference weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina.
THE BASICS
RACE: Dix Classic Criterium
LOCATION: Raleigh, North Carolina
MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Flanagan finished fifth overall in Collegiate Men's A, while Mike Stocker, Shay Wright, and Lanier Ash were sixth, 16th, and 19th respectively.
- Foley continued his strong performance to open the road season by winning the Collegiate Men's B competition, while Elias Dietrich was 10th.
- McDonald kicked off the weekend for the Bobcats by winning the Collegiate Men's C competition.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Heidi Martin, Maria Doering, and Zoe Eckman finished sixth, eighth, and ninth respectively in the Collegiate Women's A competition to pace the Bobcats. This was the first time ever that these three Bobcats raced at the A level, which is a hightened level of difficulty from the B level.
- Rinaldo posted a third-place finish in the Collegiate Women's B competition to close out the first day for the Bobcats.
