Michael Marsans and
Max Kuntz combined for 32 kills, while
Bradley Peters finished with five kills, 37 assists, and six digs, but it was not enough as visiting Mount Olive rallied after dropping the third set to post a 25-22 win in the fourth frame and clinch the Conference Carolinas match this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Marsans finished with a match-high 18 kills to go along with two assists and three digs, while Kuntz hit .323 from the floor with 12 kills and also chipped in six digs, a solo block, and two service aces.
- Nicholas Brewster added seven kills and a block assist, with Steven Nalls and Riley Chapman tallying six and five digs respectively.
- After a back-and-forth start to the first set, Mount Olive used a 6-1 run to grab momentum and extend the lead to 20-13.
- Lees-McRae rallied to trim the deficit to 23-19, but a final two Trojan points clinched a 25-19 win in set one.
- Mount Olive opened with a 7-2 run in the second set and clinched the second frame with a 25-17 victory.
- The Bobcats responded with an 8-1 run in the third set to shift momentum and give Lees-McRae a 12-5 lead.
- The Trojans slowly chipped away to trim the deficit to 22-16, but a pair of kills by Brewster and Marsans gave the Bobcats a 25-17 win in set four.
- The fourth set, which turned out to be the most-highly contested frame, held the score at 22-21 on an attacking error by the Trojans.
- Lees-McRae used a kill by Marsans to trim the deficit back to 23-22, but a final service error by the Bobcats gave Mount Olive the conference win.
- The Trojans held an 11-4 edge in total blocks, while the Bobcats maintained a 49-41 edge in kills.
FOR THE FOES:
- Dominic Hagerty and Eric Visgitis finished with 12 and 10 kills to pace the Trojans, while Jarrod Ferguson chipped in 33 assists and 10 digs.
UP NEXT:
The Bobcats will host Barton tomorrow afternoon at 12 p.m. in the regular-season finale for both teams.
