WILSON, N.C. – Five Bobcats finished with multiple goals, including
Genesis Lutsky and
Sarah Hepburn who each tallied a team-high three points, but it was not enough as host Barton scored with 1:28 left in the overtime session to clinch a 13-12 overtime victory over the visiting Bobcats in the Conference Carolinas action this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lutsky and Hepburn both finished with two goals and an assist each, with Hepburn chipping in four draw controls.
- Nim Castro, Kalbie Grassett, and Aspen Villas all tallied two goals, while Grassett and Castro combined for seven ground balls.
- Haley Donovan added a goal and a team-high seven draw controls, with Anna Stutts chipped in a goal.
- After Barton opened up the scoring with two goals in a three-minute span in the first quarter, Hepburn, Grassett, and Stutts all scored to even the score 3-3 at the first intermission.
- Grassett and Villas scored early in the second frame to give the Bobcats a 5-4 lead and Hepburn and Donovan scored a few minutes later to extend the lead to 7-6.
- Barton scored one final goal to even the score at 7-7 at halftime.
- Lutsky and Castro both scored twice to extend the Lees-McRae lead to 11-8 with 14:11 left in the contest.
- The Bulldogs scored the next four goals to take a 12-11 lead, but a final goal by Aspen Villas with 3:10 left sent the game into the extra sesson.
- Barton scored with 1:28 left in the first overtime to clinch the conference win.
- Emily Davidson and Mckenzie Mellen combined for six saves in net for the Bobcats.
- Both Barton and Lees-McRae finished with 19 shots-on-goal, with Barton holding a 15-13 advantage in draw controls.
FOR THE FOES:
- Avery Woodcock finished with a game-high five goals to pace the Bulldogs, while Savannah Graves and Olivia LaValle combined for seven saves in net for Barton.
