CENTRAL, S.C. – Lees-McRae men's soccer captured the 2-0 road victory at Southern Wesleyan on Wednesday evening as
Daniel Garvilla and
Harrison Watts each scored for the Bobcats in Conference Carolinas play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae notched the first goal of the match in the 22nd minute as Watts buried his sixth goal of the season in the back of the net via an assist by Jesper Jonsson.
- Garvilla found the goal in the 44th minute of play to give the Bobcats the two-goal advantage heading into the halftime break.
- Lees-McRae maintained the momentum and offensive attack in the second half with Fletcher Dyson having a chance on goal in the 53rd minute and Garvilla missing the target high in the 65th minute.
- The Bobcats went down a man in the 67th minute after Alfie Hyett was given a red card after having accumulated a yellow earlier in the match.
- Lees-McRae held tough in the latter stages of the match with the Bobcats collecting the 2-0 victory at Southern Wesleyan.
- In the match, Lees-McRae held the advantage in shots, 24-1, and tallied 10 shots on targets. The Warriors did not record a shot on goal in 90 minutes of action.
- Watts led the Bobcats with a goal and four shots on goal as Dyson followed with two shots on target.
- Joshua Garvilla earned the clean sheet for the Bobcats as he did not face a shot on net all night.
FOR THE WARRIORS:
- Wesley Bigbee had eight saves in the contest for Southern Wesleyan but conceded the two goals on Wednesday night.
