CENTRAL, S.C. – Lees-McRae women's soccer secured the 3-0 victory in Conference Carolinas play this evening against Southern Wesleyan as
Taylor Barrineau,
Priscilla Mawi, and
Alexa Todd all scored for the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Todd got Lees-McRae on the board in the 30th minute off a solid cross by Sierra Shuey to give the Bobcats the goal advantage. The Bobcats collected two more shots on goal before the halftime whistle, but Lees-McRae held the 1-0 lead.
- Mawi doubled the lead for the Bobcats in the 66th minute off an assist by Averee Andrews and Barrineau collected her team-leading sixth goal of the season four minutes later via an assist by Mawi.
- Mallory Roughton secured her first clean sheet of the season with two saves on the night for the Bobcats.
- Lees-McRae held the decisive advantage in shots, 19-5, and shots on goal, 12-2, over Southern Wesleyan.
FOR THE WARRIORS:
- Samantha Benner had a game-high nine stops for Southern Wesleyan and Natalie Thompson and Brooke Cash tallied shots on target in the contest.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae returns to Banner Elk on Saturday, Oct. 1 with a conference matchup with Converse. The kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. with homecoming slated for this coming weekend.
