Sidney Dollar captured the steal as Lees-McRae men's basketball stormed back to down Chowan, 87-86, in Conference Carolinas play on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae found themselves in a 21-point deficit after Jay Estime drained a three-pointer with 11:01 left in the second half. The Bobcats closed the final 11 minutes on a 41-19 to earn the 87-86 on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court.
- Follie Bogan scored with 18:21 to regain the two-point edge for the Bobcats in the opening minutes of the contest with the Hawks.
- Chowan retook the advantage and grew the margin to 11 after a fastbreak jumper via RJ Wilson with 7:10 in the first half. Lees-McRae cut Chowan's lead down to single digits and the Hawks entered the break with a seven-point advantage after Preston Le Gassick registered a three at the buzzer.
- The Hawks pushed its lead to 17 after a three-pointer from Wilson with 16 minutes remaining in regulation. Estime hit his third three-pointer at the 11:01 mark, but the Bobcats battled back to win the 87-86 contest after Sidney Dollar stole the ball with seconds remaining on Saturday night.
- Brandon Brown had a season-high 17 points for the Bobcats on 7-12 shooting from the field and distributed three assists to go along with four steals.
- Jeremy Golson caught fire in the second half as he scored 14 points on 4-9 shooting from three-point range. Stewart joined Golson with 14 points on 5-9 from the field and grabbed three boards in the win.
- Williams Onyeodi was the final Bobcat in double-digit scoring with 13 points and hauled in eight boards.
- Lees-McRae went 32-64 (50.0%) from the field, as a team, and 15-21 from the charity stripe.
- The Bobcats held a significant advantage inside with 42 points in the paint to Chowan's 24. Lees-McRae scored 23 points off turnovers and provided 15 points on the fastbreak.
FOR THE HAWKS:
- Daylan Askew paced Chowan in the scoring column with a game-high 24 points on 8-13 shooting and 4-6 from deep.
- Wilson, an App State transfer, followed with 13 points and Le Gassick joined Wilson with 13 points also.
- Estime and Koonce each collected 11 points for the Hawks in today's contest.
