HUNTINGTON, W.Va. –
Rodney Smith had a team-high 21 points on 8-11 shooting and 2-3 from three-point range in tonight's exhibition at Marshall. The Thundering Herd collected the 103-85 victory inside the Cam Henderson Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae cut the deficit to two points after the first 20 minutes of action with a three-pointer from Smith at 50-48.
- Marshall went on a 12-0 run over a two-minute mark in the second half at 93-76 and collected the 103-85 victory on Wednesday night.
- The Bobcats shot 50.0% (29-58) from the field with six three-pointers and went 21-32 (65.6%) from the free-throw line.
- Williams Onyeodi and LJ Rogers joined Smith in double figures with 16 and 11 points, respectively. Sidney Dollar collected nine rebounds and four points in the game. Jaylin Stewart distributed six assists in 29 minutes of play.
FOR THE THUNDERING HERD:
- Wyatt Fricks and Kevon Voyles led the way for Marshall with 22 points and 21 points, respectively.
- The Thundering Herd went 41-69 (59.4%) from the floor with 11 three-pointers in the contest.
