DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Lees-McRae women's basketball fell to North Georgia, 91-51, on Tuesday evening in Dahlonega, Georgia.
Emily Barr led the Bobcats in the game with 12 points on 4-8 shooting and
Essence Sumner tallied 10 points and five rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Leah Barringer knocked down the first basket of the game with 9:30 remaining in the first quarter and Mason extended the lead to five points with a three at the 8:46 mark of the first.
- North Georgia went on a 6-0 run at 16-9 with 4:59 left in the first and held the seven-point advantage after the first quarter.
- UNG scored 30 points in the second quarter to take the 52-28 lead into the halftime break and secured the 91-51 victory on their home court on Tuesday night.
- Barringer had eight points in 12 minutes of action for Lees-McRae and Mason tallied five points. Nadiya Hairston and Dianna Spence collected three points apiece in the contest.
- Lees-McRae went 19-52 (36.5%) from the field with four three-pointers on the night. The Bobcats went 9-13 from the free-throw lane.
FOR THE NIGHTHAWKS:
- Emily Trushel had a game-high 20 points and added six rebounds in 27 minutes. Dasha Cannon had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
- The Nighthawks shot an efficient 56.7% (34-60) from the floor and added 20 points from the charity stripe.
