BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's lacrosse returned to Tate Field on Saturday afternoon as the Bobcats dropped the non-conference contest to Catawba, 16-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Catawba took an early seven-goal advantage in the second quarter before Genesis Lutsky found the back of the net off a free position shot with 7:58 left in the first half. The Indians went into the halftime break with the 7-1 lead.
- Nim Castro and Haley Donovan were credited the last three goals for the Bobcats as Catawba earned the 16-4 victory on Saturday afternoon.
- Mckenzie Mellen had a season-high 14 saves in goal for the Bobcats and picked up a team-high five ground balls.
- Donovan recorded seven draw controls and had two caused turnovers in Saturday's effort.
FOR THE INDIANS:
- Caroline Cox and Charlize Skepple registered four goals apiece for Catawba in the win. Michaela Lantz and Ella McCusker followed with three goals each for the Indians and Evie Kauserud earned the decision in net.
