BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's tennis bounced back for a 5-2 Conference Carolinas victory this afternoon as
Max Borisov and
Martin Hlavacek went 2-0 on the day against Converse.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Converse grabbed the doubles point with match victories at the No. 2 and 3 courts with 6-1 and 6-0 decisions. Borisov and Hlavacek handed the Valkyries their lone doubles loss at the No. 1 flight, 6-3.
- Borisov claimed the first point for Lees-McRae in straight sets with the 6-1, 6-2 win over Valkyrie Merlin Bellet.
- Landon Church followed with a straight-set victory at the No. 5 singles position at 6-4, 6-2.
- Facundo Perlov forced a third set after winning 6-1 in set two and collected the third set at 6-1 over Converse's Gregoire Legrand and Ezequiel Arce followed suit with a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles.
- Hlavacek closed the day for the Bobcats with a singles victory on court number two with a 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 decision against Enzo Marcheschi.

Lees-McRae faces Emmanuel (Ga.) on Friday, March 24 in Franklin Springs, Georgia. Emmanuel enters the match at 1-0 in league play after defeating North Greenville 6-1 on March 18.
