BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's lacrosse made the short road trip to Belmont Abbey for a Conference Carolinas clash with the Crusaders afternoon.
Shannan Korovich and
Mckenzie Mellen scored the goals for the Bobcats in the 21-2 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Belmont Abbey recorded the first three goals of the contest before Korovich found the back of the net with 9:53 left in the first period. The Crusaders tallied the next 12 goals for the 15-1 lead.
- Mellen collected her first goal of her career with 13:07 to play in the third period.
- The Crusaders earned the 21-2 victory on their home field this afternoon.
- Korovich added four draw controls along with her goal for the Bobcats and Haley Donovan had a team-high six draw controls.
- Jackielynn Lowry collected three ground balls for the Bobcats and Aviva Beringhause made 13 stops in goal.
FOR THE CRUSADERS:
- Olivia Carlino and Riley D'Andrea each scored four goals for Belmont Abbey on the day and D'Andrea had 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in the contest.
