NEW ORLEANS – The Lees-McRae men's cross country program returned to No. 10 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Regional rankings yesterday afternoon.
The Bobcats placed ninth out of 13 teams at App State's Covered Bridge Open last Friday. Max Geckler led the Bobcats with an impressive time of 25:34.21 and captured the sixth-fastest time in Lees-McRae men's cross country history. Geckler was named the Conference Carolinas Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week and the Bobcat of the Week earlier this week.
Lees-McRae returns to action next Friday as the Bobcats will take part in the Eli Cramer Invitational hosted by Milligan.
