WILSON, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's volleyball returned to Conference Carolinas play for the first time since September 25 with a four-set loss at Barton on Friday evening.
Sydney Stigler collected a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs for the Bobcats.
THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Barton def. Lees-McRae, 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 23-25, 25-15)

RECORDS: Barton (2-12/1-7); Lees-McRae (9-3/1-1)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Barton opened the match with a 25-18 set win in the first set and earned the second set at 25-21 on its home court.
- The Bobcats battled back in the third set after trailing 23-22. Rebecca Ryan closed the third set with back-to-back kills to give Lees-McRae the set victory at 25-23.
- The Bulldogs pulled away in the fourth set with a 25-15 set victory and registered the four-set victory on Friday night. Barton tallied a .240 hitting percentage to the Bobcats' .172 hitting percentage.
- Stigler paced Lees-McRae with 12 kills on a .313 hitting percentage and added 11 digs and four service aces on the night. Ryan and Peyton Volk-Tuller followed with seven kills apiece.
- Addyson Morgan and Ella Young contributed 17 assists each in the match. Emma Summerfield collected 10 digs in four sets played.
FOR THE BULLDOGS:
- Henly Sleight had a match-high 16 kills to lead Barton and Lauryn Pitt joined her with double-digit kills at 10.
- Hailey Strey distributed 25 assists in the contest and Isabella Ream recorded 12 assists in four sets.
