HUNTSVILLE, ALA. – Campbell Dille captured the program record in the 6,000 Meters this morning as the Lees-McRae men's and women's cross country programs returned to the course at the Alabama-Huntsville Chargers Invitational.
Josh Brett and
Max Geckler collected top-ten times in school history in the 8K distance on the men's side.

WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Dille led the Bobcats in the 6K distance with a time of 22:18.70 and placed 56th out of 279 runners. Dille's time breaks the school record set by recent graduate Deanna Betzer, which was at 22:29.88.
- Megan Knapp followed with the 10th best time in program history at 23:22.70 and crossed the line in 116th place. Kaylee Kraver finished in a time of 24:56.20.
- Taylor Marshall finished the 6K distance in a time of 26:27.30 and Natalia Everhart stopped the clock at 26:54.00. Rebecca Kleiber rounded out the Bobcat finishers with a time of 27:36.10.
- Pittsburg State, ranked 16th in the Division II National Poll, collected the team title with 62 total points. Lees-McRae finished in 24th and fellow Conference Carolinas member UNC Pembroke placed 17th as a team.
MEN'S NOTABLES:
- On the men's side, Josh Brett recorded the third-fastest time in Lees-McRae history at 25:09.50 in the 8K distance. Brett finished the race in 67th and Max Geckler joined him with the sixth-fastest time at 25:34.60.
- Isaac Reyna followed Brett and Geckler with a time of 26:33.60.
- Rien Freeman closed the 8K distance at 26:54.90 and Josh Gillis crossed the line at 27:12.10. Brennen Pierce finished the race at 27:19.30 with Jackson Olsen and Ben Gribbins rounding out the top seven runners for the Bobcats.
- Chico State, ranked seventh in the nation as a program, picked up first place with 45 total points. Lees-McRae, as a team, placed 22nd at the UAH Chargers Invitational on Saturday morning.
