BRISTOL, TENN. – In their second match of the week, Lees-McRae women's soccer collected a 2-0 win over King in another edition of the "Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup".
Ivy Cagno and
Gwen O'Brien tallied goals for the Bobcats on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sarah Jones had the first shot on target for Lees-McRae in the 15th minute, but King's Olivia Seston made the first of her three saves on the afternoon.
- O'Brien put the Bobcats on the board in the 31st minute and Lees-McRae led 1-0 at the halftime break.
- Lees-McRae continued its offensive pressure with shots on goal by Haley Lowman and O'Brien.
- Cagno notched her first goal of the season off a pass from O'Brien in the 73rd minute.
- Ella Froehlich of King had an opportunity in the 89th minute but was turned away by Bobcat goalkeeper Chiara Coppin.
FOR THE TORNADO:
- Froehlich had the lone shot on goal for the Tornado and Seston made three stops in net for King.

Lees-McRae women's soccer plays Erskine on Tuesday, October 22 in Greensboro, North Carolina at 1 p.m. The match with the Flying Fleet will be played at Bryan Park.
