BENTONVILLE, Ark. – The Lees-McRae women's cycling team traveled to Bentonville, Arkansas for the 2024 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships.
Anabel Miller,
Avery Wortendyke, and
Olivia Young competed for the Bobcats at the four-day event.
THE BASICS
RACE: 2024 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships
LOCATION: Bentonville, Arkansas
NOTABLES:
- On Thursday, Young posted 36th place in the Dual Slalom Female Varsity race.
- Anabel Miller placed 16th in the Cross Country Female Varsity race on Friday and Avery Wortendyke followed in 30th for the Bobcats.
- Miller led Lees-McRae in Short Track Cross with 21st place and Wortendyke followed in 29th.
- Young rounded out her MTB National Championships in the Downhill with an individual finish of 33rd.
- Miller and Wortendyke teamed up with Lees-McRae men's cyclists Massi Ambrosi and Phillip Naude to finish sixth in the Team Relay on Sunday.
- Lees-McRae earned fifth place overall in the Team Omnium. Colorado Mesa took the top spot in the Team Omnium with 674 points.

Lees-McRae women's cycling now heads into its Cyclocross season for the 2024 season. The 2024 CX Nationals are scheduled for December 12-15 in Louisville, Kentucky.
