SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Lees-McRae men's soccer sophomore Midfielder
Nils Schulze found the game-tying goal in the 70th minute as the Bobcats closed the regular season with a 1-1 draw at Converse on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Valkyries had the first shot on goal in the 8th minute, but Bobcat Jonathan Kienle made the first of five saves in goal.
- Harrison Watts sent two shots on frame in the 16th and 17th minute for Lees-McRae but the two sides remained even. Lees-McRae and Converse entered the halftime break scoreless.
- Converse took advantage of a penalty given in the 58th minute and Gabriel Verona put the Valkyries in front by a goal.
- Conor Hart and Schulze collected shots on goal in the 63rd and 64th minute of today's contest, but Mateo Sanchez kept the Bobcats off the board.
- Schulze powered in a goal just outside the 18-yard box in the 70th minute to tie the match at 1-1. Santi Balza was credited with the assist.
- Converse's Johannes Haden had the last shot on goal in the 77th minute, but Kienle kept the 1-1 draw on Saturday.
- Harrison Watts joined Schulze with two shots on goal on the day. Hart added the other shot on target for the Bobcats.
FOR THE VALKYRIES:
- Sanchez made three saves in net for Converse and Verona recorded the only goal for the Valkyries.
