BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's basketball was firing on all cylinders on Saturday afternoon as the Bobcats defeated North Greenville 95-66 in Conference Carolinas play.
Jeremy Golson led the Bobcats on Senior Day with 16 points and
Rodney Smith followed with 15.
LJ Rogers had 12 points and both
Ja'Quavian Florence and
Timon Jones each scored 11 in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- North Greenville made the first basket of the game with 19:28 left in the first half, but the momentum was in favor of the Bobcats for the remainder of the game. Golson knocked in his first of four three-pointers of the game at the 19:11 mark as the Bobcats led for 39:49 of today's contest.
- Rogers recorded both free throws to give Lees-McRae the 16-point advantage with 13:55 left in the first half and the Bobcats staked out to a 25-point lead after a jumper from Florence.
- Lees-McRae led by 29 after the first 20 minutes with a buzzer-beater from Rogers.
- The Bobcats coasted in the second half with a convincing 95-66 win over North Greenville on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court.
- Before today's victory, eight Bobcats were recognized as part of senior day festivities. Jalen Crowder, Sidney Dollar, Golson, Timon Jones, Williams Onyeodi, Rogers, Rodney Smith, and Jaylin Stewart were recognized as part of the senior day recognition.
- Lees-McRae went 49.3% (35-71) from the floor with 15 made three-pointers and 10-12 from the free-throw line. The Bobcats scored 26 points off 15 North Greenville turnovers in the contest.
FOR THE CRUSADERS:
- Babatunde Ajike and Justin Perry led North Greenville in the scoring column with 11 points apiece. Ajike recorded eight rebounds in the game.
