GREENEVILLE, TENN. – Lees-McRae men's volleyball fell in four sets on Tuesday evening to Tusculum in Greeneville, Tennessee.
Austin Beaird had a team-high eight kills for the Bobcats and
Merritt Crowe distributed 22 assists in the match.
THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Tusculum def. Lees-McRae, 3-1 (25-15, 23-25, 25-17, 25-12)

RECORDS: Tusculum (4-9), Lees-McRae (1-14)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tusculum used a four-point run at 13-6 and collected the first set at 25-15 off an attack error from Lees-McRae.
- Lees-McRae battled back in the second set after Ben Fincham delivered a set point at 24-23. Sebastian Heer tallied a kill to even the match at one set apiece for the Bobcats.
- The Pioneers used a 4-0 run at the end of set three to earn the set at 25-17 and collected the match in four sets after winning the fourth set, 25-12.
- Beaird had eight kills on 27 swings for Lees-McRae and Heer followed with six kills. Luke Fincham tallied five kills in three sets and Ben Fincham joined his brother with five kills. Erel Bardah and M.J. Doyle rounded out the Bobcats with four kills apiece.
FOR THE PIONEERS:
- Deklan Wingo had a match-high 15 kills to pace Tusculum in the four-set victory. Landry Colby recorded 14 kills on a .409 hitting percentage and Morgan Makovec joined his teammates in double figures with 10 kills.
- Tristan Blake accumulated 42 assists in the match and Jaden Bramhall had five blocks on the night.
