LAURINBURG, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's volleyball opened play at St. Andrews University on Friday evening with a four-set loss to Campbellsville (Ky.).
Luke Fincham led the Bobcats with 10 kills and seven digs.
THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Campbellsville def. Lees-McRae, 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-20)
RECORDS: Campbellsville (13-5), Lees-McRae (1-17)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats used a 4-0 scoring run in the first set to tie the score at 11-11 and took the first set 25-21 on a kill from Erel Bardah.
- Campbellsville rallied back with set wins in the second, third and fourth set for the four-set win on Friday.
- L. Fincham had 10 kills on a .174 hitting percentage and recorded seven digs and one block in the match. Austin Beaird followed with seven kills, three digs, and one block
- Merritt Crowe distributed 31 assists in the match and three digs. Ben Ratliff-Becher had 13 digs in four sets played for the Bobcats.
FOR THE TIGERS:
- JoVeaun Banks and John-Marcos Gonzalez paced the Tigers with 10 kills apiece. Aleksa Plevaljcic tallied 31 assists in the four sets played and Alonzo Vega distributed 12 assists in the match.
