Jonas Bartelt and women's volleyball fifth-year
Destiny Holley have been named Bobcats of the Week for the week of Sept. 9-15.
Bartelt, a Forward from Hocheim, Germany, recorded a hat trick in 46 minutes of play on Saturday in the Bobcats' Conference Carolinas opener at Shorter. Through the first four matches of the season, Bartelt has three goals and four shots on target. Lees-McRae men's hosts Belmont Abbey tomorrow evening on Tate Field at 7 p.m. in Conference Carolinas play.
Holley, a fifth-year Middle Hitter from Virginia Beach, Virginia, tallied her 500th career kill as a Bobcat last Friday at the Big Blue Classic. In her Bobcat career, Holley has 510 kills and a .307 hitting percentage in 63 matches played. In 2024, she is second on the team with 48 kills and averages 2.18 kills per set. Lees-McRae hosts Concord in a non-conference match tomorrow on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court.
