BREVARD, N.C. -- The Lees-McRae men's and women's cross country programs were back in action on Saturday morning at the Brevard Cross Country Classic in Brevard, North Carolina.
Max Geckler set the 25th best time in program history in the 8K distance and
Megan Knapp paced the Bobcat women with a 12th place finish.

WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Knapp clocked a time of 19:41.0 in the 5K distance on Saturday morning and was the first runner from Division II to finish the race.
- Campbell Dille finished with a time of 20:06.3 and placed 18th for the Bobcats. Kaylee Kraver followed in 21st with a time of 20:48.0.
- Rebecca Kleiber and Maya Gantt rounded out the scoring times for Lees-McRae with 29th and 33rd individual finishes. Kleiber stopped the clock at 22:00.3 and Gantt crossed the line at 22:52.6.
- Natalia Everhart finished a place behind Gantt with a time of 22:56.8 and Saige Jones completed the 5K distance in a time of 28:07.1.
- Milligan took first place in the team standings with 15 points and Milligan's Ellen-Mary Kearney claimed the top spot with a time of 17:44.4. Lees-McRae finished in 3rd place overall with 81 points.
MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Geckler led Lees-McRae men's cross country at Brevard with a time of 26:17.3 and was the first Division II runner to cross the line. Josh Brett followed in 15th place with a time of 26:35.2.
- Brennen Pierce followed in 27th with a time of 27:46.7. Isaac Reyna, 29th, and Josh Gillis, 30th, stopped the clock at 27:50.9 and 27:53.9, respectively.
- Milligan took the top spot with 15 total points and Bryn Woodall finished first among the Buffalo runners in a time of 25:41.1. Lees-McRae finished three points behind UNC Asheville for third place in the team standings.
