Rebecca Ryan and
Sydney Stigler led the way with nine kills apiece as Lees-McRae women's volleyball picked up a three-set sweep over West Alabama in the Bobcats' season opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae rattled off five straight points at 17-9 and earned the first set with a kill via Stigler at 25-15.
- The Bobcats continued the momentum in the second with 11 consecutive points off the serve of Nina Vallesi at 11-0. Vallesi finished the set with a kill of her own at 25-14.
- The Green & Gold finished the match in three sets with a three-point run at the end at 25-14. Brooke Ashkenase collected a service ace for the three-set victory.
- Ryan and Stigler paced the Bobcats with nine kills apiece. Stigler tallied eight digs and five aces in the win. Vallesi followed with five kills, 11 digs, and three service aces.
- Ella Young started the offense with 11 assists and five digs for the Bobcats.
FOR THE TIGERS
- Jaida Alvin led West Alabama in the kills column with seven kills and seven digs.
