AUGUSTA, Ga. – Lees-McRae women's volleyball continued its road trip in Augusta, Georgia on Saturday and opened with a four-set win over Middle Georgia State. The Bobcats almost pulled off the upset over Augusta, but fell in five sets to the Jaguars.
GAME 1 BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Lees-McRae def. Middle Georgia State, 3-1 (19-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-19)

RECORDS: Lees-McRae (10-13/9-6); Middle Georgia State (5-15/0-9)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sydney Stigler led the Bobcats to a four-set win over Middle Georgia State to start the day in Augusta. Stigler had 20 kills on a .475 hitting percentage and four aces.
- Karoline Springman joined her with 10 kills on a .529 hitting percentage. Rebecca Ryan nine kills, three aces, and three total blocks.
- Iza Rosin had a match-high 44 assists in four sets and Brooke Ashkenase had 10 digs to her season stats.
- The Bobcats evened the match at one set with a 26-24 win in set two and collected set wins at 25-21 and 25-21 in the third and fourth sets.
GAME 2 BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Augusta def. Lees-McRae, 3-2 (14-25, 23-25, 25-14, 25-3, 15-12)

RECORDS: Lees-McRae (10-14/9-6); Augusta (20-4/9-0)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae opened the match with set victories at 25-14 and 25-23. Augusta battled back to force a fifth set and the Jaguars took the match in the deciding set at 15-12.
- Springman had her second match with double-digit kills at 11 on a .348 hitting percentage. Stigler followed with eight kills and seven digs. Ryan had seven kills and two service aces.
- Rosin tallied 28 assists and 15 digs for the Bobcats. Ashkenase chipped in 12 digs in the second match of the day.
