BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – North Greenville scored with three seconds left in the first overtime as Lees-McRae men's soccer dropped a 1-0 decision to the Trailblazers in the semifinals of the 2025 Conference Carolinas Men's Soccer Championship.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Trailblazers had the lone shot in the first overtime and tallied the lone goal of the. NGU will now face Young Harris in the finals on Saturday afternoon.
- Sean Green made multiple stops in the first half with saves in the 21st minute and then another save in the 23rd minute. Green made two more saves in the first half to keep the match tied at 0-0.
- Karim Gegg had the lone shot on goal with 40 seconds remaining in the first half.
- Green made one last save at the 89th minute as the two sides entered extra time. NGU took the match by a final of 1-0 after Ognjen Vrkic scored on a rocket of a shot in the 100th minute.
- Green made six saves in today's contest. Gegg led the Bobcats with four total shots and Jonas Bartelt had two shots.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae concluded its 2025 season today with the 1-0 loss to North Greenville. The Bobcats advanced to the semifinals for the first time since 2017.
