BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's basketball moved its win streak to three games with a 82-74 Conference Carolinas victory over Southern Wesleyan on Saturday.
Isajah Deburgo and
Cedric Patterson combined for 43 points in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats gained the lead at 8-6 off a fastbreak layup from Patterson with 16:14 to play in the first half. Lees-McRae pushed its lead to 11 after a quick 8-0 run.
- SWU tied the contest at 28-28 off a made basket from Will Little. The Bobcats regained the lead and held the four-point advantage after the first 20 minutes.
- Southern Wesleyan opened the second half on a 11-0 scoring run and led by nine at the 15:41 mark of the second half.
- The Bobcats chipped away at the lead and tied the game at 53 with a fastbreak layup from Dwight Canady. Canady knocked down a three with 10:52 as the Bobcats led 58-55 with 10:52 remaining.
- Lees-McRae built upon its lead and led by eight with 3:30 left in the second half. The Bobcats earned the win by a final of 82-74 on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court.
- Deburgo had a team-high 23 points on 8-15 shooting and added five rebounds and five assists. Patterson followed with 20 points. Canady and Kenny Vera joined them in double-digit points with 13 and 10 points, respectively.
- Lees-McRae scored 32 points off the bench and had 40 points inside the paint in the contest.
