BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae women's basketball went back into the win column on Wednesday evening with the 73-51 win over Toccoa Falls.
Kaylee Carson had a season-high 22 points to lead the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Toccoa Falls was on fire to start the contest after back-to-back threes from Valmary Nunez. Lees-McRae took its first lead at 11-10 via a layup from Carson.
- Lees-McRae held the one-point lead after two free-throw makes from Sydney Gueterman and the Bobcats led 16-15 at the end of the first quarter.
- The Bobcats regained the lead at 25-24 off a basket from Layla Tillery with 5:05 left in the first half. Lees-McRae led 36-24 after a three-pointer from Carson in the final seconds of the second period.
- Lees-McRae pushed its lead to 22 points off a tip-in basket from Camryn Lee with 1:42 left in the third quarter. The Bobcats earned their fifth victory of the season with the 73-51 win.
- Carson led all scorers with 22 points, eight rebounds, and seven steals in the game. Gueterman followed with 16 points in 26 minutes of action. Nadiya Hairston rounded out the Bobcats in double-digit scoring with 10 points.
