Austin Beaird posted a career-high 21 kills in tonight's five-set match between Lees-McRae men's volleyball and North Greenville. The Trailblazers took the match, 3-2, on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats settled into the first set after trailing 4-0. Lees-McRae tied the set at 19-19 off an attack error from NGU and held a set point at 25-24. Thiago Da Silva collected a kill at 26-24 for the set victory.
- NGU jumped out to an early 6-1 lead in the second set, but the Bobcats battled back once again. Lees-McRae tied the set at nine points apiece and held the 12-9 advantage. Abdirahman Ahmed and Sebastian Heer combined for a double block to end the set at 25-22.
- North Greenville collected a .417 hitting percentage in the third set for the 25-16 set win and hit .455 in the fourth set for the 25-22 set win.
- In the fifth set, North Greenville and Lees-McRae traded points early on. NGU took a two-point lead at 10-8 and led 14-11 off a service ace from Michael de la Cruz. Carter Schomock gave the Trailblazers the win with a kill at 15-12.
- Beaird led the Bobcats with 21 kills on a .333 hitting percentage and added two assists and five digs. Ahmed followed with nine kills and two digs.
- Jadon Ciriacks compiled seven kills and seven digs for the Bobcats. Da Silva distributed 38 assists in five sets and Ben Ratliff-Becher matched Ciriacks with seven digs on the night.
- De la Cruz and Schomock paced the Trailblazers with 15 kills on the evening. Logan Taylor collected 40 assists and 19 digs in the contest.
