BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's basketball led from start to finish in tonight's 76-60 Conference Carolinas victory over Belmont Abbey on the McNair & Debi Tornow Court.
DJ Kent scored 22 points on a perfect 11-11 from the field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Drew Redmond got the Bobcats rolling with a three-pointer 20 second into tonight's contest. Oli Smith followed with a three 47 seconds later and Lees-McRae led 8-0 at the 18:23 mark of the first half.
- Belmont Abbey's Jaden Peters connected on a three-pointer with 8:29 left in the first half, but Lees-McRae led 44-30 at the halftime break.
- Nigel Okwakol contributed a three-point play to push the Bobcat lead to 22 points and Lees-McRae earned the 76-60 victory in its regular-season finale.
- Kent had a team-high 22 points on 11-11 from the field and added five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Nico Ashley and Okwakol followed with 11 points apiece. Ashley had four blocks in the win. Smith rounded out Lees-McRae in double-digit scoring with 10 points in 14 minutes played.
- Khamani Wertz had a game-high 25 points for Belmont Abbey on 7-11 from three-point range. Jordan Patton joined Wertz in double-digit scoring with 13 points in 33 minutes.
