BELMONT, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's volleyball returned to the court and Conference Carolinas play on Saturday afternoon at Belmont Abbey. The Crusaders took the match in four sets inside the Wheeler Center.

FINAL SCORE: Belmont Abbey def. Lees-McRae, 3-1 (21-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-17)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats used a .458 hitting percentage in the first set and held Belmont Abbey to nine kills for the 25-21 opening set victory. Kevin Procter gave the Bobcats the set with a kill at 25-21.
- Belmont Abbey earned the match with three consecutive set victories at 25-18, 25-15, and 25-17. The Crusaders hit .277 in the four-set match and Lees-McRae recorded a .151 hitting percentage.
- Procter had a season-high 10 kills on 27 swings for Lees-McRae and missed a double-double by one dig on the match. Lleyton Starke followed with eight kills and four blocks.
- Abdirahman Ahmed distributed 32 assists in four sets played and added two service aces and four digs.
- Zach Puentes and Matthew Staskunas led the Crusaders in the contest with 10 kills apiece. Zach Cramer recorded 19 assists and Jack Walsh followed with 17 assists.
