Men's and Women's Track Collect 11 First-Place Finishes at King Invitational

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Lees-McRae men's and women's track & field competed at the King Invitational in Bristol, Tennessee on Friday and Josh Gillis ran the second-fastest time in the 800 Meters on Saturday in the Raleigh Relays.

NOTABLES:
  • Symone Taylor moved her time from the 100 Meter prelims to 12.42 seconds in the 100 Meter Finals and placed second. Sandryne Camire finished fifth for the Bobcats at 12.76.
  • Keagan Osika notched a season-best time in the 200 Meters and earned first with a time of 25.97. Camire took second with a time of 27.12.
  • Landri Martinka took first in the 400 Meters with a time of 1:02.01 and Ellie Cobb followed in second with a time of 1:03.31.
  • JD Green took fourth in the 400 Meters with a time of 50.64. Lodrick Scott followed with a personal-best time of 51.07 seconds.
  • Scott finished in first in the 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 57.07.
  • Megan Knapp took first with a new school record in the 1,500 Meters at 4:53.29.
  • Max Geckler placed first in the 5,000 Meters with a time of 15.28.08.
  • Campbell Dille earned first in the Women's 5,000 Meters with a time of 18:55.36.
  • Andrew Belcher placed third in the Men's Discus Throw with a throw of 44.10 meters and Morgan Gray took fifth in the Women's Discus Throw with a mark of 30.88m. Gray took first in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 42.03 meters.
  • Osika earned first for the Bobcats in the Women's HIgh Jump with a mark of 1.55 meters.
  • Lora Dillon also earned first in the Long Jump with a jump of 5.28 meters. Osika placed second with a mark of 5.08 meters. Dillon also notched first in the Triple Jump with the 15th best mark in Division II at 11.51 meters.
  • Camire, Cobb, Martinka, and Osika earned first in the Women's 4x400 Meter Relay with a time of 4:20.98.
  • Gillis competed at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday and earned a season-best time of 1:53.78 in the 800 Meters.
