SUMTER, S.C. – The Lees-McRae women's tennis team jumped to No. 6 in the latest NCAA Division II Southeast Regional rankings on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bobcats earned their first Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Tournament Title since 2002 on Sunday at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, South Carolina. Lees-McRae is currently 18-5 on the season and finished Conference Carolinas play with an undefeated mark of 12-0.
Lees-McRae was joined by fellow Conference Carolinas member Erskine. The Flying Fleet were ranked eighth in today's listing. The Bobcats also notched a ranking of No. 40 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Team Rankings on Wednesday.
The NCAA Selection Show will air on Monday, May 5 at 8:30 p.m. and regional play will begin on Monday, May 12.
