GREENVILLE, S.C. – Lees-McRae women's tennis Senior
Anita Ivanova was named the Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Player of the Week after going on 2-0 on the week in her respective doubles and singles matches.
Ivanova, a Nova Zagora, Bulgaria native, defeated Erskine's Rupal Kharb, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 4 singles. The Lees-McRae women's tennis team collected the 4-3 match victory over No. 35 Erskine on Saturday afternoon in Banner Elk. Ivanova and
Pati Vedia Sanchez claimed the 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles for the Bobcats over the Flying Fleet.
On the season, Ivanova has a 10-5 overall record and 7-2 at No. 4 singles for the Bobcats. She is currently on a four-match win streak heading into today's Conference Carolinas match against Francis Marion. Ivanova and Sanchez hold an 11-4 record at No. 1 doubles in 2025 and have registered a six-match win streak.
