BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae College Director of Athletics and Club Sports
Ed Winters promoted Brad Dunn to the position of Associate Director of Athletics - Director of Compliance. Dunn returned to Lees-McRae in July 2024 and previously served as the head men's lacrosse coach from 2017 to 2022.
"This promotion is incredibly well deserved and recognizes both Brad's increased responsibilities and the important leadership role he plays in our department," stated Winters. "He first joined Lees-McRae as a student-athlete then to the head men's lacrosse coach and now in his various departmental professional roles in athletics. Through it all, Brad has earned the highest level of respect from colleagues in both our department and across campus as result of his work ethic, commitment to excellence, and passion for enhancing Lees-McRae student-athlete experiences."
In his first year back on campus, Dunn oversaw the compliance efforts for Bobcat athletics and assisted in internal operations for the Lees-McRae Athletics Department. Dunn is responsible for all aspects of NCAA Compliance, in addition to academic support for athletes, sport supervision, and game day operations.
"It is an honor to be part of my beloved Bobcat Athletics family and serve not just the men's lacrosse program, but all of our teams as we continue to build on our championship pedigree," said Dunn. "I would like to thank Ed for the opportunity to continue to learn how to build and run an ultra-competitive NCAA Division athletic program."
Dunn, a 2012 alumnus of Lees-McRae College, played lacrosse for the Bobcats from 2002-2006.
