GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas has released its Spring Scholar-Athletes of the Year Presented by Hudl on Tuesday afternoon with Lees-McRae men's tennis graduate
Max Borisov being named one of 12 athletes.
The Scholar-Athlete awards Presented by Hudl are awarded annually to one individual in each Conference Carolinas sponsored sport. The Scholar-Athlete of the Year winners are chosen by the Conference Carolinas Student-Athlete Affairs and Awards Committee.
Borisov, a Sofia, Bulgaria native, ended his career at Lees-McRae as the 2025 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year and was named the Male Student-Athlete of the Year. In 2025, Borisov collected an overall record of 21-0 at No. 1 singles and finished the season as the No. 6 ranked player in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southeast Regional rankings.
In addition to his accolades on the court, Borisov was selected to Chi Alpha Sigma this year and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. He was also recognized to the Academic All-Conference Carolinas team presented by Barnes & Nobles College in March.
