Aubrey Tansey recorded a brace in the second half for Lees-McRae women's soccer, but Lincoln Memorial found the go-ahead goal in the 85th minute of tonight's season opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Paige Branam opened the scoring in the 19th minute of the contest off an assist from Viktoria Filsner.
- Kylie Gutierrez had shot on goal in the 25th minute, but Lincoln Memorial's Emma Cooke made her first save of the night.
- Branam doubled the lead for LMU in the 57th minute off another assist from Filsner.
- The Bobcats did not go away and cut the lead in half at the 74th minute after a goal from Tansey, the first collegiate goal of her career.
- Tansey found the tying goal in the 80th minute after Julie Eskes' initial shot was stopped.
- Lincoln Memorial's Branam scored the go-ahead goal in the 85th minute and the Railsplitters held off a late charge by the Bobcats for the 3-2 victory on Thursday evening.
- Lees-McRae had six shots on goal to Lincoln Memorial's four. Lincoln Memorial had four corner kicks and Branam netted a hat trick in the contest.
- Kaitlin Filippo collected one save in goal for the Bobcats as five Bobcats played the full 90 minutes in the season opener.
