CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Lees-McRae men's volleyball team began its 2026 season on the road this afternoon in Charleston, West Virginia. Charleston defeated the Bobcats in three sets in the season opener.

FINAL SCORE: Charleston def. Lees-McRae, 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-21)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Charleston picked up the first two sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-16. The Golden Eagles finished the match with a 25-21 set victory in the third set.
- Ben Fincham led the Bobcats with seven kills on a .385 hitting percentage. Evan Harris followed with six kills on a .600 hitting percentage in three sets.
- Abdirahman Ahmed had 20 assists in three sets and added three kills. Ben Ratliff-Becher collected seven digs in the contest.
