ROME, Ga. – Lees-McRae men's basketball registered the 80-68 Conference Carolinas win over Shorter this afternoon.
Dwight Canady led four Bobcats in double figures with a game-high 23 points and five made three-pointers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae started the contest on a 10-2 scoring run and the run was capped by a fastbreak layup from Yerald Mieses.
- Shorter answered with a run of their own and tied the contest at 13-13. The Hawks gained the lead at 16-13 with a three-pointer from Ja'Myas Davis.
- The two sides traded the lead multiple times through the end of the first half and Shorter held the 34-33 margin at the end of the first 20 minutes.
- Canady gave the Bobcats the 44-43 advantage with 13:53 remaining in the contest and Canady tied the game with a three at the 9:49 mark.
- Lees-McRae used an 8-0 scoring run and took the 73-60 lead with 2:35 to play and the Bobcats picked up the 80-68 win on the road over Shorter.
- Canady led all scorers with 23 points in 38 minutes of action and added three rebounds and two assists to his performance. Isajah Deburgo and Chase McDuffie tallied 15 points apiece. Yerald Mieses registered a double-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in the contest.
- The Bobcats shot 46.8% (29-62) from the floor with 42 points inside the paint and 16 points off turnovers.
