PEMBROKE, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's basketball had five scorers in double figures, but the Bobcats fell to UNC Pembroke, 81-66, on Monday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae held the 11-8 lead with 13:54 remaining in the first half after two free throw makes from Dwight Canady. Yerald Mieses knocked down a three at 12:52 mark for the 14-10 lead.
- The Bobcats continued to add to their lead with a jumper from Nigel Okwakol with 7:53 left in the first half, but UNCP went on a 6-0 scoring run to take the 22-21 lead. The Braves led by six at the end of the first half.
- UNCP moved the margin to 11 points, but the Bobcats continued to battle and trailed by one with 13:56 left in regulation.
- The Braves moved the advantage back to double digits at 63-52 and UNCP earned the 81-67 on Monday evening.
- Nigel Okwakol had a team-high 19 points on 6-11 shooting and 7-8 from the free-throw line for the Bobcats. Mieses followed with 15 points in 32 minutes and Isajah Deburgo chipped in 12 points off the bench. Canady and Cedric Patterson joined their teammates with 10 points apiece.
