Dwight Canady poured in a career-high 32 points in 41 minutes of action, but Lees-McRae fell to Converse in overtime, 89-87.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The two sides played to an even 37-37 in the first half. Ira Wilson used a tip-in basket with nine seconds left in the first half for the tied score.
- Lees-McRae trailed by 10 points with 8:20 left in the second half, but the Bobcats rebounded back and held the 79-73 lead after a 10-0 scoring run with 19 seconds remaining.
- Converse used a three-point play at the 11-second mark and hit a last-second three-pointer to send the game into overtime.
- Canady continued his strong game in the overtime and scored the first points at 81-79. Converse took the three-point advantage, but Lees-McRae had chances late to tie the matchup. Yerald Mieses had two free throws at the end of the overtime and Cedric Patterson missed a layup as time expired.
- Canady had 32 points on 10-20 shooting. Nigel Okwakol followed with 19 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Mieses and Wilson joined Canady and Okwakol in double figures with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
