GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Lees-McRae flag football program, under first-year head coach
Mike Brown has been selected to finish first in the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Flag Football Preseason Poll.
Makenzie Hicks,
Tami Chatwood, and
Natalia Hernández de León have been named Players to Watch this season.
The Bobcats received five first-place votes and 79 total points for the top spot. Barton secured second place with one first-place vote and 73 points. Wingate, King, and Ferrum rounded out the top five. Emmanuel received the final first-place vote and was picked to finish sixth in the preseason rankings.
The Lees-McRae flag football team kicks off its season on Saturday, February 7 with contests against NC Central and Charlotte on Tate Field.
