TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Lees-McRae men's volleyball earned its fifth win in a row and first victory over North Greenville since 2018 with the five-set win over the Trailblazers this afternoon.
Ben Fincham posted a career-high 26 kills in today's win.
THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Lees-McRae def. North Greenville, 3-2 (19-25, 28-26, 28-26, 24-26, 18-16)

RECORDS: Lees-McRae (9-8/4-2); North Greenville (7-4/4-2)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lees-McRae evened the contest at one set apiece with the 28-26 win in the second set. B. Fincham and Davide Nicolini claimed the set with back-to-back kills.
- The Bobcats collected the third set at 28-26 also. Fincham closed the stanza with back-to-back kills for the 2-1 set lead in the match.
- In the third set, North Greenville had set point at 24-24, but the Bobcats evened the set at 24-24 with three consecutive kills from Fincham. The Trailblazers moved the match to a fifth set after earning fourth at 26-24.
- Lees-McRae staked out to a 10-7 lead in the fifth set and led 14-12 off a setting error from NGU. Lees-McRae held off NGU at 16-15 and registered the set at 18-16.
- Fincham paced the Bobcats with 26 kills on a .327 hitting percentage. Nicolini followed with double-digit kills at 16 and recorded a double-double with 10 digs. Jadon Ciriacks closed the match with nine kills on a .421 hitting percentage.
- Abdirahman Ahmed distributed 52 assists in the match and added 10 digs. Ben Ratliff-Becher tallied eight digs in five sets.
- Lees-McRae recorded a .329 hitting percentage in five sets and accumulated 71 kills over the five sets.
