Pati Vedia Sanchez and
Lina Ngassi Saqout earned straight-set victories at No. 1 and 2 singles, but Lees-McRae women's tennis fell to No. 6 Converse, 4-2, in the first round of the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Tennis Championship.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Saqout and Caroline Brothers picked up the 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles for the Bobcats. Converse won at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles for the first point of the day.
- Saqout won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles over Tamanna Panwar.
- Sanchez followed with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles over Khushi Kharb.
- Brothers led 6-4, 5-4 at No. 3 singles when the match was halted.
